Hormones and you

“Dr. Sarah’s expertise is in using all types and preparations of hormone therapies including natural or compounded hormone options. Your care should be as unique as you!”

There are many types of hormones. It takes an effective patient-doctor relationship to work together to untangle hormonal disease, as hormones are all interconnected. Maybe it is menopause that is making you feel poorly? OR maybe it’s thyroid, cortisol or insulin?

Both lifestyle and medications may be warranted to realign natural hormonal functioning. The body has an incredible ability to heal itself though sometimes medications can gain short-term improvement in one area to allow time to work with lifestyle on another hormonal cycle.

Your hormones are all connected, so your care should be too! If your hormones are treated as one problem (thyroid alone, for instance) without looking at the big picture and intricate design of your other hormonal cycles, you will likely not feel better. Dr. Sarah believes in casting a wide net for diagnosis and treatment plans.

“Hormonal changes or swings can make you feel VERY poorly.  It may be hard to remember what normal actually feels like!”

- Dr Sarah

“Each patient’s story is unique. I do have hope for every patient that we can find solutions that can bring restoration and new life!”

Also, hormones are very reactive, meaning that sometimes there is something that we can identify or change in your everyday life that will help with your hormone levels or consistency.  This is why listening and digging in together with frequent follow-up produces the most significant hormonal improvement.
